Love Against the Odds - StorySlam Oakland
Love Against the Odds: tell us about a time love triumphed, or maybe it didn't. Impossible affair? Emotionally unavailable Tinder match? Over-eager Bumble stumble? Hinge binge and cringe? We want to hear your story.
The audience votes for the winner. It's similar to "The Moth," but everyone who tells a true story wins a free drink ticket.
StorySlam Oakland takes place at Luka's Lounge, a classic Oakland establishment with full bar and dinner available.
Doors open at 6:30. Arrive at 6:30 to get a seat and order food and drinks. Show begins promptly at 7:00.
StorySlam is an all-ages show, but not all stories are suitable for children; parents should use discretion but older kids usually have a good time.
