The year is 1985, and Ellen Smoosh is a young lady on the cusp of life defining events. She's a native Manhattanite, an only child, devoted to her recently widowed father who's health is declining rapidly from the sudden loss of his wife. Her parents long loving marriage inspires her to be a champion of the values of commitment and loyalty. These standards influence the romantic relationship she begins with her co-worker, Avery Wilson. What ensues is the presentation of this relationship and its results, and the impact her father's decline has on her future.
