PSO-PSC All-State Audition Clinic 2019
Pensacola Symphony Orchestra and Pensacola State College present our 7th Annual All-State Audition Clinic!
The Pensacola Symphony Orchestra in partnership with Pensacola State College is hosting an All-State Audition Clinic for middle and high school music students. The clinic on August 24 will prepare students for the upcoming 2019-20 All-State Band and Orchestra auditions. There is also an Escambia County Youth Orchestra audition clinic for high school string students.
The clinic will provide students with an opportunity to work on their repertoire with professional musicians from the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra and faculty from Pensacola State College. During the course of the morning, students will view a mock audition, review scale preparation and sight-reading preparation, as well as participate in a master class with an emphasis on their specific exercise selections. Students should bring their instruments along with their All-State music. Percussionists only need their sticks, mallets, and music.
Interested students need to register for the event by 11:59 PM Tuesday, August 20 and submit a $10 registration fee in order to attend the clinic.
9th and 10th Grade: 8-9:30 a.m.
11th and 12th Grade: 9-10:30 a.m.
7th and 8th Grade: 10-11:30 a.m.
Clinics will be available for the following instruments:
Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass
Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon, Saxophone
Trumpet, Trombone/Euphonium, Horn, Tuba

Coming from I-10 East or West, exit to I-110, go to first exit-Brent Lane-when you exit take a left on Brent Lane, go past Davis Highway to Ninth Ave. You'll see Sacred Heart Hospital on the left. Turn left on Ninth Ave. Go three lights to College Blvd. Turn right onto College (you'll see the bell tower.) The Ashmore Auditorium is the first big building on the left.
If coming from Highway 98 west, go across the Three Mile Bridge, at the first light take a right on 17th. Go to the next light, (Cervantes St.) and take a right, go over the Bayou Texar Bridge and take a left at the next light (Perry). Go to the next light (about 3 miles) and take a right (12th Ave.) Go to the third light (College Blvd) and take a left. The Ashmore Auditorium is the last big building on the right before Ninth Ave.
When you come into the building from the front parking lot, take a left then right down the hallway. The Rehearsal Hall Room 884 will be the last door before the stairs.
