Chairing is Caring
Chairing is Caring is an exploration of abundance and sharing resources developed over a two week intensive. Twelve advanced circus students from Chicago's awesome youth circus, Circesteem, worked over 60 hours with Aloft's Artistic Director Shayna Swanson in their first experience with an outside director. The resulting presentation is creative, joyful and fun, mixing apparatus in new ways and challenging the kids to think outside the box when it comes to their voices, the audience as participant rather than observer, and the possibilities of circus as a tool to share ideas.
