St. Marks Cathedral in Venice was a pilgrimage site for composers and musicians from all over continental Europe who would journey to study the Venetian style, perfected by composers Gabrieli and Monteverdi, and assimilate this unique sound back in their home territories. This holiday, come experience the glory of Baroque Venice right here in Austin in the soaring acoustics of the Chapel of St. Louis Catholic Church as the sound of voices, organ, cornetto, sackbuts, dulcian, and theorbo resound in splendor.
