Renaissance City Theatre Inc., the producing entity at the Granite Theatre of Westerly,  announces the opening of Norm Foster's hilarious comedy "Skin Flick".  The show opens Friday July 26, 2013.  The show runs Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm through August 25, 2013.   Producer/ Artistic Director for the theatre is David Jepson.
             
John Cillino (Westerly, RI) directs.  The cast features Anna Convery (Westerly, RI), Keith Brayne (Waterford, CT), Geoff Leatham (Wyoming, RI), Dale Magnuson (No. Scituate, RI) and Brian Olsen (Westerly, RI).

Don't be afraid of the title.  This hugely entertaining comedy won't make you blush.  It's about four innocent people caught in the headlights of making an adult film.  The day our protagonist loses his job at a costume outlet, he brings a movie home for his wife to see so she can write a sample review for a job she's applying for as a film critic It turns out the job's already been filled and the movie is a porn film. Their best friend, a recently fired cameraman tells them how lucrative those films are and they decide to make one to solve everyone's financial problems in one fell swoop. A down-on-her-luck actress named Jill mistakenly arrives at their house, and ends up in their audition as well as some other actors to be.  Norm Foster is the author of THE LOVE LIST and HERE ON THE FLIGHT PATH.  "A brilliant, funny Norm Foster Play." -Orangeville Citizen.  "A sweet little story of love and intimacy!" -HalifaxNewsNet.

Patrons may enjoy a selection of wines, beers and soft drinks from the theatre's cash bar at all performances in the comfortable, spacious lobby of the beautifully refurbished, historic theatre.  Opening nights of each new production feature a special post-show party and mixer of patrons and performers with special treats by Amy Buckley Polek.
