Luminous Blackness: "Studies N Black" Closing Event
Honoring tricksters, shape shifters, and fun seekers, this performative experience invites the audience to witness the final installation of month-long community action series "black male/female with____" exhibited with images of D UNDERBELLY photographer Geoff Albores, as well as cameo performances by Monstah Black and Chicago artists JSun Howard and Theaster Gates, and an excerpt of documentary "Still Black: A Portrait of Black Transmen," and haunting electronic tunes by DJ Daniel Givens.
Audiences are encouraged to dress up as beguiling Halloween black or supafly characters. Reception included.
