Green Living Expo 2019
Registration now open for McHenry County's largest green event.
The McHenry County College (MCC) Sustainability Center will hold its annual Green Living Expo from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, November 2, at the MCC gym/multipurpose room and surrounding areas at the college, in Crystal Lake. Green businesses and organizations are welcome and are invited to sign up now to interact and showcase their businesses with McHenry County's green community.
Visitors can shop and talk with local environmental organizations. The Expo had record attendance last year, with more than 1,100 attendees. Returning this year is the popular artists walk, featuring unique and sustainable creations. Businesses with appropriate green holiday gift ideas are also encouraged to register.
Registration is open until September 13th. Registration includes one 6ft table and one chair. Electricity will be available on a first come first serve basis and there is a $5 fee to reserve access to electricity.
All applications are pending approval. Submitting an application does not guarantee your exhibit at the Expo. You will be notified on or before September 13th.
Only one representative of each multi-level marketing company will be accepted.
To avoid processing fees, you have the option to download the application on www.mchenry.edu/greenexpo and send it in with payment.
Business($70) and Non-profit($40):
Pipe/drape and tablecloths are not included. Vendors may bring tablecloths/skirts and free-standing signs/banners. All registrants are listed on the MCC Sustainability Center website as they are processed and after the Expo for one year.

Expo location choice, priority access to electrical, and table signage, and company logo published on the Green Living Expo website. Name clearly visible on all outreach materials and highlighted prior to event on social media postings via Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Sponsors will also receive a private tour of the new Greenhouse and high tunnels or the Liebman Science Center immediately following the Expo. To be included in printed marketing materials, confirm your participation prior to 8/14/19.
Friend of the Expo($500 limited availability)For those businesses that are returning participants only - please take advantage of this unique opportunity for added marketing, radio interviews, giveaways, and much more. In addition to the other sponsorship items, addressed above, we will have a banner with your company/organization logo to greet all our visitors. To be included in printed marketing materials, confirm your participation prior to 8/14/19.
Artists Walk ($30):
This category will feature a designated hallway at MCC just off the main gym for artists only. This unique opportunity is only available for artists who create original art, jewelry, etc., with a link to our sustainable world. New art applicants must provide photos and narrative prior to application-send to sustainability@mchenry.edu for approval. No sharing tables without prior approval. Limited number of booths available. Registration does not guarantee a spot. Planning committee will review and select vendors.
Very limited electricity available those needing electricity must contact the Sustainability Center.
Registrations after 9/13/19 will be accepted for an additional fee through the Sustainability office.
