AAJA Photo Hangouts in Atlanta
They're baaaaaaack... the AAJA PAG would like to invite you to our second ever "Photo Hangouts" where you get to hangout with some of the top editorial photographers in the US, see their work and listen to the stories behind the images.
We've also added one video session on producing documentaries and of course, we'll have portfolio reviews for anyone interested.
The Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) is a non-profit organization committed to ensuring a fair representation of Asian Americans in the work place and in the media. The Photojournalist Affinity Group (PAG) is a sub group of AAJA and is focused on supporting and providing guidance to photojournalists and documentary photographers with educational programs and mentors to help further their careers.
Photo Hangouts was created to educate, motivate and inspire photographers who are interested in pursuing careers in editorial or documentary photography. These Photo Hangouts were made possible by the Pulitzer Center, which promotes in-depth engagement with global affairs through its support of quality international journalism across all media platforms and an innovative program of outreach and education.
We brought together some of the best editorial photographers in the country to share their knowledge and experience to help you tell better stories. Each session is 90 minutes long - an approximately one hour presentation from our esteemed photographers, followed by Q&As.
Our confirmed speakers are: Cheryl Diaz-Meyer, Pulitzer Prize winner Rod Mar, Nikon Ambassador Maye-E Wong, Associated Press E. Samantha Cheng, Heritage Series Akili Ramsess, NPPA Executive Director
