A Bach Séance
CMSCVA celebrates the 100th anniversary of the spectacular Branch house by revisiting one of the many popular trends of 1919 - spiritualism. In this special event combining theater and music, CMSCVA frames the chamber music of Johann Sebastian Bach by evoking his indomitable spirit.
Performances of Bach's sonatas for oboe and viola da gamba are paired with readings that bring the Baroque world of Bach to 2019 Richmond.
