Folkloric Medicines 101: Make Your Own Herbal Culinary Crafts
Herbs have been entwined in our everyday lives since the very beginning of humanity. From meals to medicines, rituals and religions, herbs have played integral roles that have been handed down from our most ancient ancestors. Learn the folklore and medicinal benefits of a few common herbs such as bay laurel, thyme, and oregano. Just like our ancestors did, you will make a bouquet garni, herbal oil, herbal vinegar, and vanilla extract for benefits ranging from better digestion to immune system boosting.
This class will be hosted at 21 Acres Center for Local Food and Sustainable Living, a nonprofit organization in Woodinville interested in inspiring the community to climate action through the local food system. Come have some herbal fun this summer on the farm!
