Angelfire Seattle, WA Area Band Biography When we are not playing our originals, we cover such artists as Johnny Cash, Elton John, Ricky Nelson, The Doobie Bros, Kiss, Rolling Stones many others. Everyone enjoys the music of Angelfire, whether its the jazz or rhythm & blues crowd or the hard-rockers. The guitar work is amazing, along with very intelligent, meaningful percussion. Angelfire music is very energetic, fun to listen to, and fans enjoy seeing the intensity that Angelfire plays with live. Band members are Jimmie Lee Barela and Angelo Ortiz. Jimmie Lee Barela is a masterful guitarist who has been fusing rock, blues and jazz, and has performed around the Seattle, WA area for a number of years with his band Cavernous Groove & Jimmie Lees All-Stars before being joined by long-time friend, Angelo Ortiz to form the Duo Angelfire Angelo Ortiz is a well-known, gifted percussionist, named Best Instrumentalist by the Washington Blues Society in 2016. Angelo has had multiple previous nominations for best percussionist, including 2018, and has appeared on the cover of Big City Rhythm and Blues Magazine, a nationally published music trade magazine. Angelo has also played with notable greats, Randy Oxford and Lee Oskar, and appears on many CD's and recordings around the Northwest. Guests on KSER FM and KSVR FM radio shows.

Cee Cee James Take a lifetime of heartache and loss starting at birth and gift it with a lyric writing style that is filled with an honesty so vulnerable that it catches the most hardened heart off guard, knocking that back with a shot of WHISKEY DRENCHED VOCALS and a sweat dripping, take no prisoners performance, and you have one hell of a Blues Woman.
Cee Cee James is one of those performers who comes across with more fire and fever when experienced live than is able to be captured on a recording. Stevie Ray Vaughan was often described the same way. She has a blistering voice that reaches for every ounce of emotion, sweat and raw power that she can muster. Cee Cee James is old-school bluesa steamy, sexy delivery of smokey back room stories spread over a bed of greasy slide guitar and pumping rhythms. She oozes blues.
