NOT ALL 911 CALLS NEED A POLICE RESPONSE - LETS BUILD AN ALTERNATIVE IN OAKLAND
CAHOOTS is a Eugene OR mobile crisis intervention team integrated into the public safety system that handles a broad range of emergency calls, including homelessness, intoxication, disorientation, substance abuse, mental illness problems, dispute resolution, non-emergency medical care, first aid, and transportation to services. Hear a CAHOOTS presentation on how they have succeeded in reducing bad outcomes, saving tax money, and helping connect residents with services.
Come and hear how Oaklanders can build a similar project and how we can support the implementation.
Please let us know by 6/23 if you require ESL or Spanish translation or child care.
