This 90-minute show is packed with laughs and singing from the get-go.|
Deb riffs on aging, getting the senior discount, how not to get into a fight at Aquafit and what to do when a Rotarian tries to mansplain. Kim Pollard brings the soul with music that plays off Deb's comedy.
Kimmett is a regular on CBC Debaters, Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and is an award-winning storyteller and playwright. This show was featured as an hour comedy special on CBC radio and keeps selling out wherever it goes.

good! The show was a bit of much-needed light in these relentlessly depressing days. Joan Melanson CBC Radio.
Georgina Cannon Thank you... it was such an extraordinary evening...the music, the laughter until I cried and poignant moments to be relieved by a killer line... GREAT, thank you. ( Hypnotherapist)
Elaine Gold What an amazing show last night. Thrilled to be there. I actually hurt my rib laughing so hard at your "we won't need lunch ladies". You are a very great performer to watch and listen and laugh to. Elaine Gold, Storyteller.
"I would never have believed comedy and music of this kind could come together, it was so distinct. Deb would stop. The music would start. and somehow two art forms flowed together to paint a picture of everyone could relate to." John (from Goderich)
"Such a strong show, so funny, but that doesn't nearly express it! Your skill and instincts created performance art, with pacing, space to breathe, changes in rhythm, Ms Pollard's incredible work...we are hoarse from hootin' and hollerin! 90 minutes that felt like a well-paced 50.
The potato!!!!!!! It is an honour!

So last night I had the extreme pleasure of watching the amazing Deborah Kimmett perform her hilarious "Downward Facing Broad" show which was taped for CBC. I haven't laughed that hard for quite some time! And I absolutely must give a huge shout out to Deb's musical accompaniment, the incredible Kim Pollard!! Wow!! All I can tell you is get your tickets and get to this show as soon as you see where Deb is next performing! What a terrific night! What a terrific show!

Go see this show. You will laugh until your cheeks hurt and it is filled with honesty and things that will have you shaking your head in recognition. We saw the show in Toronto and it was FANTASTIC. Scott White.
Gary Kembel Wise and funny lady. Great show last night Deborah. I thought as we entered...what a nice big space and you probably sold out more seats than are in Carolyn's Comedy Club in New York. Netflix take note.
