Black Metropolis
Greenwood Avenue in Tulsa Oklahoma had it all. The grand Stradford Hotel, Economy drug Store, Anderson Jewelers, The Dreamland Theater, Lilly's Upholstery Shop, A.S. Newkirk's Photography Studio......and so much more.  One of the most prosperous African American communities during the early 1900's until it all came to a screeching stop one afternoon on May 31, 1921.  Come be part of what history doesn't want you to know!
