After a public nervous breakdown, Brooklyn actress Reina is determined to make a comeback when she signs on to a production of her best friends buzzed-about new play. Meanwhile, Reinas boyfriend Clay has been assigned to profile a legendary theatre critic for his magazine - and the couple begins to see the light at the end of a rocky patch in their shared life. But as they embark on their respective projects, they discover that the pain, legacy, and power that dictated their past is not as far removed as they would like to believe.
