Two of Franz Schuberts most beloved works, the Cello and Trout Quintets, bookend 2019 Music on the Strait Season. His last instrumental work, the sublime Quintet in C, written during the final weeks of his short life, is one of the most beloved pieces of chamber music in the repertory. This program also features Jean-Baptiste Barrieres seldom-heard Sonata for Two Cellos in G and Dvoraks playful Terzetto for Two Violins and Viola.
