Toney Q. Cobb presents "The Meeting": A Staged Reading
The Meeting by Jeff Stetson is a play about a fictious, clandestine encounter between the two pillars of the civil rights movement, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. Set in February 1965, one week before Malcolms assassination, the two men engage in philosophical banter in a Harlem hotel room. As differences are conveyed and common ground is reached, the two giants realize and embrace the monumental sacrifice their chosen paths entail. This dramatic, staged reading is directed by Toney Q. Cobb, and features Mike Jones, Troy Petty, and Katrina Entzminger. This one act play has a run time of approximately 55 minutes.
