New Forum Art Show and Sale-This Woman's Work
Loft 112 is hosting the inaugural New Forum Festival throughout the month of June. The festival is dedicated to showcasing women's writing, art and film. The festival was inspired by the donation of multiple back issues of Forum, a journal published in Calgary from 1988 to 2002 that was dedicated to women's writing and artwork. The festival pays tribute to the spirit of Forum through events that focus on female artists, from an art show on June 7 that portrays women at work, to the launch of a brand-new magazine with fresh contributions from Calgary writers.
This Woman's Work is a visual showcase of all mediums from 9 artists and features the art of:

Julya Hajnoczky
Erin McDonald
Stacey Walyuchow
Jessie Fraser
Sarah Almquist
Barbara Bickel
Artists will be in attendance and art will be available for purchase.
