Mistakes Were Made - StorySlam Oakland's true story competition
Everyone makes mistakes, and sometimes the fallout is funny, sometimes it's mortifying. StorySlam Oakland celebrates mistakes and lessons learned in this one-of-a-kind personal storytelling show. Hear ordinary people tell 5-minute true stories from their lives, on stage. Put your name in the hat for a chance to tell about an epic mistake of your own. Or just listen and laugh. *Note: not all mistakes are funny.*
The audience votes on the Best Story of the Night. But everyone who tells their true story wins -- a free drink from the bar.
While the votes are being counted, you'll be entertained by a Featured Storyteller telling a longer "Mistakes Were Made" story.

Doors open at 6:30 PM. Stories begin at 7:00.
Dinner & drinks available at the venue. Pro Tip: Arrive by 6:30 to reserve a table inside the Lounge if you wish to order food. Order food and drinks at the bar and they will bring it to you in the Lounge where the show takes place.
Note on content: True storytelling can be unfiltered, and we are not about to ask the storytellers to watch their mouths. Younger folks are welcome, but they may come home with some new knowledge and colorful language!
