Notable Women walking tour at Lakewood Cemetery
Summer evenings are a wonderful time to stroll through Lakewood and take in its beautiful gardens, spacious grounds and long vistas -- all while learning a bit of local history.
On this tour, we will share the stories of women who have shaped Minneapolis from its earliest days, featuring 19th-century women's healthcare advocate Harriet Walker, suffragist Clara Ueland, salon entrepreneur and educator Myndall Cain, and many more.
Choose from two dates: June 25 or August 6. Tours are from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $5 in advance, $10 at the door.
Details for that day - The tour will depart from in front of the Chapel. Parking is available along the road near the building. - Be prepared to walk about a mile across both paved roads and uneven ground. Wear comfortable walking shoes. - We will plan to walk in light rain (bring your umbrella), but the tour will be cancelled in the event of serious weather (we will notify you by email).
Please note: We are sorry, this tour is not wheelchair accessible. Please see our other upcoming events at lakewoodcemetery.org for wheelchair accessible options.
