A Night in the Theatre presented by Elf Empire Productions
A Night in the Theatre by Lawrence Casler
Just in time for Santa Cruz Shakespeares season, Elf Empire introduces us to the four theater-goers from hell - Margaret and Stanley Locker and their friends, Donna and Walter Pace. The two couples are at the theatre for their weekly dose of culture. This week's ordeal is Hamlet.
Amid the laughter of the audience, secrets emerge, and friendships unravel as we listen in to their incessant and hilarious chatter about themselves, their children, a dead friend and even occasionally Shakespeare's play. You may even recognize these rude playgoers as the obnoxious people who sometimes sit behind you. Dinner theater is a celebration . . . a blending of food, fun and fantasy that transforms the ordinary into a special occasion.
The worlds most annoying theater-goers (Jackson Wolffe, Ron Maysenhalder, Jane Chahbandour and Marj Young), surrounded by irritated audience members attempting to watch a performance of Hamlet
