Newport, Oregon's Rand Bishop debuts TREK on Stage, a one-man, musical performance piece on the stage of the brand new Doerfler Family Theater at the Pacific Maritime Heritage Center.
In an "Evening of Stories and Songs, the writer/musician recounts his 90-day, 900-mile pilgrimage from Southern California to the Central Oregon Coast, during the spring and summer of 2017, at the ripened age of 67.
Drawing on his newly published memoir, TREK: My Peace Pilgrimage in Search of a Kinder America, the seasoned performer combines some of his journeys most meaningful encounters and events with a suite of original compositions inspired by this life-changing journey.
Oregon native Rand Bishop is a Grammy-nominated songwriter, platinum music producer, musician, singer, the author of five books, an optioned, award-winning screenwriter, magazine columnist, and a lifelong activist for peace, justice, and equality.
