Think Science: Allergies

Ah-choo! If theres one thing we can all get behind in South Texas, its our hatred of allergies. For many, the sneezing and wheezing that comes with cedar fever is an annoyance, but for some people, allergies are a serious health issue. Allergies can be triggered by food, pollen, dander all manner of substance that our bodies come in contact with.

Why do we have allergies? Are old wives tales about how to treat them accurate, and what are the latest methods science is using to detect and treat allergies?

Join us at our next Think Science event on Friday, May 17, noon at the Pearl Studio as we speak to a local clinic and researcher at UT-Health about the topic of allergies.
Doors open at 11:30 a.m. for this event. Box lunches will be available for $5 from Spice of Life Catering.
