Many of our favorite blooms and plants are actually invasive and noxious weeds - learn how to identify, control, and manage local invasive species with Alan Martinson of the Latah County Noxious Weed Department. Get the scoop on the myriad of techniques and ways you can stop weeds in their tracks safely and without great impact to the landscape.
We'll also be crafting up some tasty - yes, TASTY- ways to use local weeds on your dinner plate, including dandelion pesto, sauteed cattail shoots, and a delightful spring weedy salad.
Your registration fee includes one delicious beverage from Rants & Raves, cooking demonstration, tasting, and recipes, a casual and engaging presentation, AND helps support land conservation across our region.
