Yoga for Your Eyes
Learn principles and techniques you can use to reduce eyestrain, refresh your perspective, and restore balance. In the yoga tradition, eye exercises are believed to improve memory and learning. Our approach is grounded in Hanna Somatics Education, which features a relaxed, gentle, and encouraging approach. We will explore: 1) somatic movement to release tension and improve posture (important for optimal vision) 2) self-massage for circulation and alertness 3) a variety of ways to exercise and relax your eyes holistically
You will come away with a treasure-trove of ideas and simple techniques that you can use throughout the day.
Instructor: Stuart Moody, M.A., counseling psychology, holds certifications in Ananda Yoga, Education Through Movement, and Somatic Yoga. He has taught Yoga for over 40 years to school children and their parents, college students, classroom teachers, and retired adults. He is co-founder and Trainer in the Mindful Ambassadors program of Campus Health at the University of Arizona.
