Deborah Jarvis (1954 to 2019) was a talented comic and a prolific writer. Her friends have chosen to remember her by creating the Deborah Jarvis Fund for Canadian Comediennes, which will provide a grant to a young Canadian comedienne at the beginning of her career. Drop Dead Funny; The Deborah Jarvis Memorial Comedy Jam will raise money for this fund.
Comics appearing at this benefit will include Colin Mochrie, Deb McGrath, Deb Kimmett, Ed Sahely, Lindsay Leese, Patricia Yeatman, Tom Melissis, Barry Stevens, Julia Bennet, Barb Muller and others. Improv, standup and sketch material from Downward Facing Broad, Acme Harpoon Company and The Two Debs will be on the bill, in addition to musical interludes and fundraising appeals.
Bring your wallets and your smartphones. You will be encouraged to donate to the Deborah Jarvis Fund for Canadian Comediennes at the show. Donations may be made at:
