Weed Management Intensive: Part I - Early Season Weed Management

Join us for an Early Spring Weed Management workshop with Ryan Lichttenegger of Steel Wheel Farm. Ryan will do some hands-on demonstrations of flame weeding, stale seed bedding, using implements such as basket weeders, and laying plastic mulch. Participants will have an opportunity for a question and answer session and leave with a variety of resources for their own growing.

Our Weed Management Intensive is comprised of 3 separate workshops and will give participants a three-season view of weed management at multiple scales and techniques ranging from market garden-style to tractor cultivation. Technical Intensives create peer-to-peer farmer mentorship, build farmers technical skills, and provide participants with an opportunity to see how multiple, diverse farming operations work. The additional two workshops in this intensives are:

Thursday, September 19 from 1 pm to 5 pm
