The Paper Raincoat
The Paper Raincoat, a new musical by Devon Copley, Amber Rubarth, and Alex Wong, was selected for this concert-format production by Musical Cafe's Next Stages incubation program. The director is Karen Altree Piemme, with musical direction by Sheela Ramesh.
When Grace's dull office routine is interrupted by the death of her estranged father, she is forced to recognize how far her life has fallen short of her dreams. A coffee klatch of misfit creatives helps lead Grace along a memory-driven journey into what might have been. As she begins to find herself, she starts to lose her connection to the people she loves. Can Graces's personal discovery be reconciled with the relationships and responsibilities of her real life?
