StorySlam Oakland: Rescue - true storytelling competition with free drinks
Date Change: For this show only, it's on a Sunday! Sunday, May 19th. StorySlam Oakland is a different kind of storytelling show, where ordinary people get to share true stories from their lives on a theme. This month's theme is: Rescue. Whether you're the one doing the rescuing or the one being rescued, we want to hear your story! Everyone who gets up to tell a 5-minute true story from their life, wins a free drink from the bar.
The audience votes for their two favorite storytellers. While the votes are being counted, you'll be entertained by one or two "Featured Storytellers" telling longer Rescue stories.
