History Harvest Panel discussion, Tina Burnside, Moderator
Hennepin History Museum
Minneapolis, MN
Share this event:

Join panelists Louis Moore, Cathy Stevens and moderator Tina Burnside for a History Harvest discussion that centers on the exhibit that tells the story of the historic South Minneapolis African American community.

The History Harvest is a community-based initiative designed to let people share objects, letters, photos, and stories that contribute to family and community history without giving up their heirlooms. Based on a WPA project from the 1930s, the History Harvest model was created at the University of Nebraska- Lincoln and has been used in communities around the world to connect people with local history.

Tina Burnside is a civil rights attorney writer, playwright, and co-founder of the Minnesota African American Heritage Museum and Gallery (MAAHMG). She organized several history harvest events locally, and the resulting exhibit is presented simultaneously at MAAHMG and HHM.

Thank you to the Marbrook Foundation for their support of this exhibition.
