Breaking Down a Script for Producers, Writers and Directors

In this class, you'll learn how to break down a script by hand and in Studio Binder. Then, you'll learn how to use the script breakdown for budgeting and shoot schedules. The instructor will provide examples of Do's and Don'ts when creating a realistic production schedule based on your script. Bringing your own script to break down and ask questions about is encouraged.
Equipment: None required but students are welcome to bring a laptop if desired.
About the Instructor: Kalee Forsythe is a Seattle filmmaker who loves all aspects of the storytelling process. She has extensive experience working on sets as a Data Wrangler and Script Supervisor. She has also worked in post-production as an assistant editor for the Daytime Emmy Award Winning web series, Red Bird, as well as numerous comedy and documentary videos for the popular YouTube channel, CUT.
Her true passion lies in writing and directing her own projects. In 2017, she released her debut short film, E 1200, and plans to finish writing, then produce and direct a short romantic comedy inspired by High Fidelity in Winter 2019.
