Help us count the butterflies!
Join Master Gardener/environmental educator/butterfly & moth enthusiast Michele Sorensen, to sharpen your observation skills so you can recognize our winged friends. After a brief indoor orientation to butterfly families and field marks, well head for the gardens to catch butterflies, skippers and their larval cats with our smart phone cameras. Well record the total number and different species we spot to create a simple diversity index.
Bring camera phones, and a notebook for your observations. All citizen scientists including kids with adults are welcome.
