An Audacious Double Feature of Fierce and Fabulous Fashion

Prepare for two nights on the town as CCSF proudly presents its 18th Annual Spring Fashion Show, Audacious, on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19 at the Diego Rivera Theatre, which exhibits the renowned artists famous Pan American Unity mural. The setting is the beautiful Ocean campus of City College of San Francisco, located at 50 Frida Kahlo Way.

The only entirely student-produced fashion show in Northern California will feature collections from talented student designers who are excited to share their unique vision and compete for one of three scholarships from the Academy of Art University. Rounding out the show will be an array of eclectic looks created by up-and-coming student designers in the Fashion Gallery segment, and live talent performances.

This year's production will pay tribute to Fashion Department Chair Kamille Hitz, who passed away earlier this spring. At the May 19th show, Kamille will be honored with a proclamation from the city and county of San Francisco, an educational scholarship in her name, and a commemorative performance by the Rockabelly dance troupe that she founded.

On Saturday, May 18th, we will welcome the general public, college and high school students to a pre-show reception at 5 pm and to be the first to see the Audacious fashion show at 6 pm. On Sunday, May 19th, we will also welcome our VIP guests to a pre-show reception at 5 pm, and the fashion show at 6 pm will culminate with the awarding of the Academy of Art University scholarships to the three top senior collection designers. Following the show's curtain call, the fashion department's 2019 graduates and awardees will strut the catwalk, and the celebration will continue with an after-party featuring captivating beats by DJ Snick At Night and dessert reception until 8 pm.

Tickets are available now at brownpapertickets.com, CCSF bookstores (Downtown, Mission, and Ocean campuses), and through fashion department students and faculty. For the May 18th show, prices are $10 for high school students with ID, $15 for college students with ID, and $20 for the general public. For the May 19th show, prices are $40 for VIP and $125 for Platinum VIP which includes a Champagne reception (21 years or older). All proceeds from Audacious will benefit CCSF's fashion department.
