Introduction to Coiled Basketry - one-day hands-on workshop
Join us for an introduction to coiling pine-needle baskets using long leaf or loblolly pine needles (grown in GA, AL, FL). Learn to start a basket on a pottery base or start without a base, select needles/coiling materials (green, dried, or with glycerin), work with artificial sinew or cord, and adorn with beads.
Ideal activity with your Mom, Grandma, or teens! Girlfriends outing? Guys welcome!
Register and prepay by May 4th. $50/pp includes instruction and materials for a small basket.
