The Cemetery Tree is a story to warm your hearts and tickle your funny bone. Richard Ashe has finished college and come to Florida to stay with Grandpa Everett, bringing a surprise with him, his fiancée Iris. While Richard and Iris begin making wedding plans, that sexy senior neighbor, Mabel Tucker, has set her sights and culinary skills on Everett. He just wants to sit in the cemetery eating lunch and reminiscing with friends Stan and Lou sometimes cold cuts sometimes fried chicken just not the spicy stuff. Love blooms, relationships develop, and we get to know these three spry old dogs, their histories and how the women they loved made them what they are today. This story examines loyalty and friendship, while celebrating the beginning of some journeys and the end of others.
The cast features: Manny Schenk, Jack Burr, Sharon Roseri, Candace Kitchens, Scott Minches, Bruce Urso, and Quintin LeMire.
The show was written by local playwright Paul Barile and directed by Tom Akouris.
