True Story Theater: Fundraiser & House Party
TRUE STORY THEATER FUNDRAISER & HOUSE PARTY
Thursday, June 6, 2019, drop by any time between 7-9:30 pm

Support our 19th season of bringing theater of empathy to greater Boston.
Enjoy a house and garden gathering and fabulous collaborative funding
at the beautiful Arlington home of Elaine Shea.

Open to the first 50 people who purchase tickets.
You choose what level to contribute. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year.  Please contribute at the highest level that works for you. We request a donation of between $25 and $250 per person and we are hugely grateful if you are able to contribute more.
Your support helps bring this unique theater of empathy to many people, especially to communities that do not have the budget to hire us at our regular prices, so we can offer powerful spaces for this work to be much more accessible.

What to expect?
As you browse through the cozy house, appetizers, desserts, and drink in hand, you'll learn about various performance series on social issues.
Partake in creative conversations, improv games, sing-back stories, and on-the-spot mini True Story performances.
Share with us your visions of bringing Playback to support a  favorite group or cause.

Pick out gift certificates to buy that were donated from local restaurants and services (all proceeds to support True Story).
Remember to bring your checkbook, cash, or credit card to join a circle of donors to help match our National Endowment for the Arts grant for The Listening Project and many of our other series on important themes.

True Story Theater does 75-100 public and private performances and workshops a year. Our theater aims to honor untold stories from many under-represented and marginalized communities, including this year with people with disabilities, people in recovery from drug and alcohol abuse, veterans, and others. We have also had a number of performances on the invisible work of motherhood. In the past year, we have led Active Bystander Intervention workshops in partnership with several towns Human Rights Commissions and schools.

Can't attend but would like to be part of our circle of donors? Wonderful!
