Spring Dramatic Play: "The Trip to Bountiful"
Written by Horton Foote; Directed by David Siskin
This moving play is the story of Carrie Watts, an elderly woman, who longs to escape the cramped Houston apartment where she lives with her protective son, Ludie, and her authoritarian daughter-in-law, Jessie Mae. Carrie wants to return to her beloved hometown of Bountiful, Texas one final time before she dies. On the journey, she befriends a girl traveling alone and reminisces about her younger years and grieves for her lost relatives.
The Opening Night Party on April 26 is hosted by Ph T&N.
Recommended for all ages except small children.
