Rise to Black: Poets on Fire
The RISE TO BLACK series features POETS ON FIRE ! It is about EXCITING the language of poetry. This event has brought together a provocative mix of voices - entwining both published and original works. The poetry is a powerful testament to the many and varied life experiences that Black and Brown women and men encounter. The poets speak in voices that are visceral and eloquent, profound and truthful. POETS ON FIRE ! confronts the present, illuminates the past ultimately it is a celebration of life and living.
