This is a seriously ravishing program: three daring quartets by composers at their creative primes, pulling out all the stops. Can groundbreaking Canadian composer Nicole Lizées musical commentary on style-icon Isabella Blow stand shoulder to shoulder with Debussys pioneering quartet? With one of Beethovens most poignant works, his Opus 59 no. 2? Come find out.
The performance will include two intermissions, giving you ample opportunity to enjoy the delicious wines at The Grange. For those interested in a pre-concert bite, charcuterie will be available from 5:30. Opt-in when purchasing your tickets.

What makes us tick? The parts of us you wont find on our musical bios. This concert gives Ironwood Quartet a chance to introduce ourselves to you as individuals and let our colours fly. Well be sure to include some great quartet repertoire, but also some fiddling, some singing, some solos
The performance takes place at the intimate space known as Old Church Theatre in Trenton, ON. Only 50 seats available!

Take a long sip of summer as you let this lovely music wash over you. Felix Mendelssohn will awaken our palates with some of his lighthearted drama before we turn down the garden path to take in the dark, cloying sweetness of Puccinis Chrysantemi. Not to worry: an early Beethoven quartet full of noble charm and rustic innocence will send us all home full of fresh good intentions.
Hillier will be hosting a cocktail reception with hors doeuvres and sparkling wine for all concert-goers to enjoy from 6-7pm.
