70, Girls, 70 is a larcenously funny musical. Book by David Thompson and Norman L. Martin with Music by John Kander and Lyrics by Fred Ebb, it is based on the play "Breath of Spring" by Peter Coke, adapted by Joe Masteroff. The show highlights the adventures of a group of senior citizens who take matters into their own hands. Down on their luck, they turn to a fun filled life of crime to fix up their run down senior high rise, along with taking in other down on their luck residents. Who knew stealing fur coats could be so much fun? The music is brought to you by the same writing duo who penned the music for "Chicago" and "Cabaret!" This is a wonderful salute to the style of vaudeville and proves that age is only a number.
