Opera and Broadway of the Hamptons (2019): September Serenade with Cristina Fontanelli and Her Fabulous Friends
Opera & Broadway of the Hamptons is delighted to return to the East End of Long Island premiere theater, Guild Hall in East Hampton - to continue the 30-year tradition of bringing world-class voices to the East End. Our brand-new program September Songs will celebrate the beginning of Indian summer one of the most beautiful times on the East End with equally beautiful selections from the worlds best-loved opera arias, duets and Broadway hit tunes plus dance and song by Long Islands carefully chosen young talent.
Award-winning Singer/PBS-TV and CBS-TV host, Cristina Fontanelli will be your host and will be inviting her fabulous guest artist tenor and baritone friends and others whose names will be announced shortly. Cristina has been deemed a cross between Maria Callas and Ethel Merman by Forbes Magazine and a "Vocal genius" by the NY Sun. All the artists will be world-class with credentials that span the globe. There will be young talent as well, to delight you with dance and song.
Be lifted up by the beautiful strains of the world's most-loved music. Musical selections will be chosen from the "chestnuts" of the Opera including Madame Butterfly and La Boheme, Broadway favorites from West Side Story and current hits such as Hamilton and classic and popular songs in Italian and Spanish, plus Neapolitan songs!
