West Coast Tap Fest - Tapped In - Honouring Tapper Joey Hollingsworth
Please join us on Sunday, May 26, 2019 for one or both of two incredible shows at 4 & 6 pm. Each show will run for one hour with no intermission.

Tickets are $20.00 in advance and $25.00 credit, debit or cash at the door. Festival Seating.

We will be honouring legendary tapper Joey Hollingsworth who became famous for tap dancing, earning him the title of the first black Canadian to ever appear on national television. He danced on shows like Mr. Dressup, Mister Rogers Neighbourhood and The Ed Sullivan Show.

Guest Artists will perform in each show:

Jim Hibbard Tap Jim is a dancer and performer whose credits include classic films like Hello Dolly with Barbara Streisand, Gypsy, Bye Bye Birdie, and Thoroughly Modern Millie and Vegas shows with Anne Margaret and Donald O'Connor.

Michael Boston was blessed to have found his passion for the art of dance at a young age, and by the time he laced up his first pair of dance shoes he was hooked. Michael has received numerous awards in festivals and competitions here in Canada as well as the US. His professional career started at the age of sixteen, where he was accepted as a star dancer in a NYSOs production of Tap Kids.

Keri Minty is currently a dance and movement instructor for Capilano University Musical Theatre and Acting Programs, and has also taught and choreographed throughout Metro Vancouver and works professionally as a tap and musical theatre performer.

Shelley Stewart Hunt was a founding member of West Coast Tap, teacher, performer, artistic director and choreographer.

Jennifer Bishop has been a resident instructor at Harbor Dance Centre for over 20 years. She is co-founder of The West Coast Tap Dance Collective and has served as Vancouver Co-Representative for The International Tap Dance Association.

Meghan Anderssen is a professional singer, actor, and dancer who is proud to call Vancouver home. She has had the opportunity to study and perform across Canada, and New York City. Meghan is trained in tap, jazz, voice, ballet, acting, mime, and voice over. She is also a graduate of UBC with her Bachelor of Arts in Dramaturgy.

Doors will open one half hour pre-show.
