In De Beginnin features The Lawd who is a lady, a likable fellow named Adam, a pretty and defiant Eve and the smooth-talking Debil backed up by an eloquent preacher and soulful choir.

We proudly begin the celebration of our 30th Anniversary by remembering Oscars wisdom, wit and love for community as evidenced in every word and sound of this wonderful play.

Fans of In De Beginnin will be glad to see the return of Beverly Dove as the Lawd, Rodney Appleby as the Rev, and Philip Knoerzer as the Debil. New cast members include Bradd Marquis as Adam, Davida Tolbert as Eve, and Shanntina Moore as the Snake.

Finally, soul music has returned, in the form of the up and coming R&B phenomenon, Bradd Marquis. He has an amazing voice and a stellar personality. Born in Trenton, NJ, he was raised in the deep gospel traditions of the church and strong, family values. Bradd believes in communicating a positive message through his music. His motto: All Love. All The Time.
He is an amazingly talented artist who writes, performs and produces. He has acquired an impressive fan base through his televised performances on Showtime At The Apollo and BETs Wild Out Wednesdays on 106 and Park. He has performed in NYC industry showcases such as Faces In The Crowd, Wild Out Wednesday, and Blaze The Stage. Bradds first, buzz single, Radio, is already receiving air play on New Yorks #1 radio station, Hot 97. World famous DJ and on-air personality, Kay Slay, was the first person to play the song and has already endorsed Bradd as the next, R&B powerhouse.
