Technology in Your Dental Practice: Diagnosis, Planning, and Treatment Using 3D

THE TOPIC: In a rapid-fire overview of the latest high-tech products currently being integrated into todays practices, you will learn about products in the following areas: cameras (digital and intra-oral); caries and oral disease detection; introduction to ConeBeam CT technology; intra-oral digital impressions; CAD systems; 3D printing, as well as a variety of the latest tech products. The use of specific examples, many of which are used in Dr. Feuersteins private practice, will help to demystify many products design and help with making purchase decisions.
THE OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this course, attendees will: 1.Learn about the newest high-tech products 2.Get an introductory look at new technologies 3.See how the products are used clinically in a typical general practice
THE SPEAKER: Dr. Paul Feuerstein, D.M.D. received his undergraduate training at the State University of New York at Stony Brook during the 1960s studying chemistry, engineering, computer science and music, and is a 1972 graduate of the University of New Jersey Medical and Dental School (now Rutgers). He maintains a general practice in Massachusetts. Dr. Feuerstein installed one of the first in-office computers in 1978 and has been teaching and consulting since then. After 14 years with Dental Economics, he is now the Technology Editor of Dentistry Today, and is the author of several technology articles and lectures at many national and local dental meetings. Dr. Feuersteins work with CAD/CAM helped develop the LAVA C.O.S. intra-oral scanning system. He is also the CDO of the Cellerant Consulting Group. In 2010, Dr. Feuerstein was named Clinician of the Year at the Yankee Dental Congress. In addition, Dr. Feuerstein is an adjunct professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
