The Certainly Not Sullivan Cabaret is an annual concert presented by the McGill Savoy Society, Canada's oldest university-affiliated theatre group dedicated to the works of Gilbert and Sullivan. The Savoy Society has been presenting musical productions for the McGill campus and the greater Montreal community for 55 years. The cabaret is a chance for our performers -- including cast members from this year's mainstage operetta -- to showcase music from outside the G&S repertoire, including showtunes, jazz standards, and songs from films. All proceeds from the concert help fund the Society's mainstage production.
The theme of this year's cabaret is overcoming challenges. Join our talented cast of 18 singers as they explore through song the goals that drive us, the ordeals we survive, the price of chasing our dreams, and the joys of achieving them. Featuring songs from Hamilton, The Producers, Legally Blonde, The Sound of Music, Avenue Q, The Last Five Years, and more!
