Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street at Reboot Theatre Company

We were unaware that our venue was also hosting a huge rock music festival between 3pm-1am on June 1, 2019. Because our actors do not use mics and due to the intimate nature of this show, we made the heart-breaking decision to cancel our final performance rather than risk our audiences having a sub-optimal experience. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Reboot Theatre Company is thrilled to present the dark musical thriller, SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET, for our next production. One of Sondheim's most beloved and complex scores, in this infamous tale, Sweeney Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, returns to nineteenth century London, seeking vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which, he opens a new barber practice. Mrs. Lovett's luck sharply shifts when Todd's thirst for blood inspires the integration of an ingredient into her meat pies that has the people of London lining up... and the carnage has only just begun! Done in true Reboot fashion, we have obtained permission to gender-blind cast this show.
Featuring direction by Julia Griffin (she/her) and musical direction by Aimee Hong (she/her), this cast boasts a fantastic array of Seattle talent.
