Romeo and Juliet
Believed to have been written between 1591 and 1595,Romeo and Juliet is set in Verona, Italy, where an ongoing feud between the Montague and Capulet families begins the tale. This production brings Verona into the modern era where the city could be Boston's Commonwealth Ave, or New York's Upper East Side.A series of events lead to the meeting of young Romeo and Juliet, each a member of the feuding families. Their ultimate desire to be married becomes a series of terrible circumstances and tragic decisions, which end in the deaths of both young people. The horrific deaths ultimately cause the two families to resolve their differences, but the price for peace was the loss of Romeo and Juliet.
