Dexter Moses Quartet
Dexter Moses, 20 years old, is a sophomore saxophonist at North Carolina Central University. Distinguished member of the top big band, he previously performed with Branford Marsalis, Joey Calderazzo, Delfeayo Marsalis, Billy Williams, Corey Fonville, and James Saxsmo Gates. Since high school, he has extensively studied with world-renowned saxophonist and NCCU Masters alumni James Saxsmo Gates who expedites his musical and academic accomplishments. His goal is to create good music that will make you cry, tap your feet, or even laugh. Most importantly, he strives to express the human experience in sound while staying true to the jazz tradition.
