New Africa Live presents K'Naan and special guest Alsarah
New Africa Live is a bimonthly live Arts series produced by critically acclaimed Rwandese-Ugandan jazz vocalist Somi and features New African artists that push the boundaries of African expression. The evening will feature a rare NYC performance by Universal Records' artist K'Naan, the Somali Hip-Hop MC/Folk Poet whose debut album "The Dusty Foot Philosopher" catapulted him into international stardom. Special guest and Sudanese soul artist Alsarah will share an intoxicating acoustic set of original songs in Arabic, her native Sudanese tounge, and English.
